Setting up OyoTV is straightforward. The only application you need is IBO Player, our officially-supported IPTV player. Below is the universal flow for every device, followed by device-specific notes for Firestick, Android TV, MAG, Smart TVs, iPhone/Apple TV and computers.

Quick Overview — How OyoTV Activation Works

OyoTV uses a MAC-bound activation system. Each install is locked to one device's MAC address, which keeps your subscription secure and prevents account-sharing issues. The five-step flow is identical across every supported device:

Install IBO Player

Open your device's app store (Amazon Appstore, Google Play, Samsung Tizen Store, LG Content Store or Apple App Store) and search for "IBO Player". Install the official app.

Open IBO Player and read your MAC

When you launch IBO Player for the first time, the welcome screen shows a unique MAC address (e.g. 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX). Note it down — we'll need it.

Send the MAC to OyoTV support

Reply to your welcome email with the MAC address, or send it via WhatsApp to +1 514 447 7860. We bind your OyoTV subscription to that MAC immediately.

Restart IBO Player

Close and reopen IBO Player. Your full 12,000+ channel list and 40K+ VOD catalogue load automatically. No M3U URLs, no Xtream codes to type — IBO Player handles it.

The Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) ships with every OyoTV plan. Use the remote (or your phone as a remote) to flick through live channels, films and series.

Amazon Firestick (Recommended for UK Homes)

Firesticks are the most popular IPTV device in the United Kingdom. Setup with IBO Player is quick.

  1. From the Firestick home screen, open Find → Search and type "IBO Player".
  2. Install the IBO Player app from the Amazon Appstore.
  3. Launch IBO Player. The welcome screen displays your MAC.
  4. WhatsApp the MAC to our UK support team — we activate it instantly.
  5. Restart IBO Player. Your OyoTV channel list and EPG load automatically.

Pro tip: connect your Firestick over Ethernet using a Firestick Ethernet adapter (£8) for the smoothest live-sport streaming.

Android TV Boxes (Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Mi Box)

Android TV devices are flexible and play extremely well with IBO Player. Open the Google Play Store, search for "IBO Player", install it, then follow the same five-step universal flow above.

MAG Boxes (250 / 254 / 322 / 424)

MAG boxes use a "Portal" system. IBO Player ships pre-installed on most modern MAG models — if it isn't on yours, our team can flash it on remotely.

  1. Power on your MAG box and open Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
  2. In the Portal 1 URL field, enter the portal address from your OyoTV welcome email.
  3. Set Portal 1 Name to "OyoTV".
  4. Save and reboot the box. IBO Player will load the OyoTV portal automatically.

Samsung Tizen & LG webOS Smart TVs

Modern Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs run IBO Player natively from their respective stores.

  1. Open the Samsung App Store (or LG Content Store) and search for "IBO Player".
  2. Install and open the app. Note your MAC.
  3. Send the MAC to OyoTV support for instant activation.
  4. Restart the app — done.

If your TV is on a multicast stream, enable the HTTP-to-UDP option both in IBO Player's settings and in your router.

iPhone, iPad & Apple TV

IBO Player is available in the Apple App Store for iOS, iPadOS and tvOS.

  1. Open the App Store and search "IBO Player".
  2. Install and launch. The MAC appears on the welcome screen.
  3. WhatsApp the MAC to our UK team — activation is immediate.
  4. Restart and stream.

Windows PC & Mac

You can run IBO Player directly on a Windows PC or Mac — useful when you want a match playing on a second monitor while you work.

  1. Download the IBO Player desktop client from the official site.
  2. Install and open it. Note the displayed MAC.
  3. Send the MAC to OyoTV support for activation.
  4. Reload — your channel list appears.

Troubleshooting Tips for UK Subscribers

  • Wired beats Wi-Fi. If your home has thick walls (common in UK terraces and flats), plug your streaming device into your router with an Ethernet cable.
  • Restart your router weekly. Most UK ISP routers benefit from a regular reboot — it clears the cache and frees bandwidth.
  • Use a VPN if your ISP throttles. Some UK ISPs (Virgin, BT) throttle high-bandwidth streams during peak hours. NordVPN, Surfshark and ExpressVPN are all OyoTV-compatible.
  • Update IBO Player. The app receives stability updates every few weeks — keep it current.

  • Does OyoTV support other IPTV players? No — we deliver our service exclusively through IBO Player to ensure stability and security.
  • How many devices can I activate? One device per subscription. Need a second TV? Buy an additional subscription.
  • What if I change my Firestick later? Send the new MAC to support. We can re-bind once per billing cycle free of charge.
